Bond Issue Information
The school construction project is so exciting, and we are ahead of schedule! Despite several COVID-related delays, the areas scheduled to be completed by start-of-school--new kitchen, new gym, new Kindergarten, new 1st grade, new music room--are done, done, done, done, and done! In addition, significant progress has been made in the lobby, and the parking lot is nearly complete (these were set for completion in November). We’ve also installed our new fire alarm and bell/intercom system, new exterior doors, and new roof; we’ve added a new bus lane and sidewalks, and repaired the crumbling exterior stairs. Much progress has been made on the other construction sites within the building, too. Students are going to love the improvements!

DB-TC Parents and Community,
The bond sale was a huge success! It took place on October 21, and was purchased at a lower-than-expected interest rate of 2.46%. The sale of the bond at this rate means a lower anticipated rate for taxpayers.
Bidding took place on March 19, 2020. We were pleased that three excellent local companies bid on our school improvement project: MJO, Gundlach, and Moyle. Moyle Construction won the bid (approved by the school board on March 26) in the amount of $3,119,700, which is a sum of the base bid plus all alternates. Congratulations! DB-TC is excited about this partnership.
We are thankful to local residents for voting to support the bond issue for DB-TC's needed improvements! Design is underway, with major work in the summer of 2020. We also thank everyone who helped get the word out--school staff, the Daily Mining Gazette, TV6, local radio stations, parents of our students,
supportive community members, and more. Good things lie ahead for DB-TC Area Schools!
